Trivia Question❓

To Celebrate Louis going the World Series (see below), Let's do some St. Paul Saints Trivia. What year did the St. Paul Saints become a team?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

Park Spotlight: Harvest with Park, Fields and Playground

Big fun just got bigger at Harvest Park! 🌾

This 25-acre community favorite has something for everyone β€” Starting with a walking/biking trail all the way around the park, to basketball and tennis courts to open soccer fields and youth ball games. The brand-new playground is the star of the show, offering a fresh and fun space for kids to climb, swing, and explore.

Whether you’re chasing goals, catching up with neighbors, or just soaking up the sunshine, Harvest Park is the perfect spot to play, relax, and enjoy the season.

From Polar to Pro: North High’s Louis Varland Heads to the World Series! ⚾

Big league dreams are coming true for one of our own! North High graduate Louis Varland β€” who once took the mound right here in 55109 β€” is heading to the World Series as a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays!

Louis’ journey is a true hometown success story. After graduating from North High in North St. Paul, he climbed the ranks through college ball and the St. Paul Saints, where he continued to impress before being called up to the big leagues with the Minnesota Twins.

Now, he’s taking that same hometown grit, passion, and perseverance all the way to baseball’s biggest stage.

The entire 55109 community is cheering him on β€” proof that big dreams really can start in small towns.

Let’s go, Louis! πŸ’™βšΎ

πŸ’‘ Answer to Trivia Question:

The modern St. Paul Saints were founded in 1993, the same year they introduced their famous pig mascot tradition 🐷⚾

However — fun fact — the original St. Paul Saints actually date back much further, all the way to 1894, when they played in the old Western League (which later became the American League).  So, you could say the Saints have roots in the 1800s but reborn in 1993 as the team we know today.
